New Block of the Month!

Today I am so thrilled to be able to show you our new BOM (block of the month) quilt created by Emma and Sarah (Treehouse Textiles) and me (Cabbage Quilts)!!

Introducing Citrus Sweet Love...

Our BOM design is made up of 12 on-point blocks, created using hand piecing and machine sewing methods...

Added to that are the 6 beautifully organic applique blocks (we have stitched them using needleturn method, though they would be just as gorgeous using any method of applique).

Then the lovely grey sashings with their salmony cornerstones, as well as the triangle borders with their striking pinwheels, set off by lovely degrees of grey.

Citrus Sweet Love has been a delight to work on across our design, choosing colours and yummy fabrics, stitching it up and adding some lovely hand quilting to finish.

The quilt is beautiful. I saw it in the flesh yesterday. There are so many interesting details within it, it will be a wonderful challenge and 'learning new techniques' quilt. You seem to have thought of everything. Huge job, I am sure it will be a sellout.

Very pretty quilt! Looks like lots of fun to make. I love what the grey borders do throughout.

It's a really lovely quilt - but my question is about the buckets! In the last pic on this post, have you made a quilt hanging rail using buckets full of cement or sand and a few poles? It looks like a great idea.

Hi! My name is erica. Would you be my friend? said...

Beautiful! Wish I could afford it, though let's be honest...I'd never finish it. :D lol
